DAVID S. RICHAN

David S. Richan is a Partner and heads up the firm’s New York Office. His practice for the past twelve years has concentrated on the representation of securities firms and individual brokers in securities arbitration, litigation and regulatory matters around the country. He has represented clients in matters before the SEC, NASD, NYSE and AAA, in cases involving a broad range of issues, including unsuitability, unauthorized trading, market manipulation, fraud, blue sky violations, and other customer-related issues. David has also represented securities industry clients in “raiding” cases, employee collections and related employment matters, Securities and Exchange Commission investigations, NASD disciplinary actions and other regulatory matters.

He is an NASD Industry Arbitrator and has chaired arbitration panels hearing a variety of customer and industry matters. David has been a featured speaker at the New York State Bar Association’s “Bridging the Gap” Seminar (Mediations and Settlements), iManage Securities Executive Seminar, New England Securities Law Conference and is co-author with Martin P. Unger of “Is the CRD Constitutional?” Registered Representative Magazine (November 1998).

David was, until May 2004, a Partner in the Litigation Department of Blank Rome LLP, where he had previously been associate. David had previously been an associate at Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom. David received his law degree from Temple University School of Law in 1985.
