Mr. Larkin is a highly experienced securities attorney with broad knowledge of the arbitration process, mediations and regulatory and compliance issues. During his twenty-five year career as a senior in-house attorney for some of Wall Street’s most well known firms, Mr. Larkin has personally tried more than 100 arbitrations. Most recently, Mr. Larkin was a member of Morgan Stanley’s Law Division for fifteen years and held the title of Executive Director. In addition to the contested proceedings he handled at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Larkin advised the firm’s largest brokers and managers on a diverse range of issues including modifications to policies and procedures in response to regulatory initiatives.
Prior to becoming a defense attorney for securities professionals, Mr. Larkin first worked at the NASD and the knowledge he gained at the NASD has provided him with unique insights that benefit his clients with regulatory issues. Reflecting his expertise in securities law, Mr. Larkin has been invited by both the New York City Bar Association and the Practicing Law Institute to speak at continuing education sessions for attorneys.
Mr. Larkin is a graduate of Holy Cross College and the Fordham University School of Law where he was Managing Editor of the Fordham Urban Law Journal. Mr. Larkin is a member of the Bar of the State of New York and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit
